Hello. I was recently diagnosed with anal fissure and lax and loose anal sphincter. I cannot see any bleeding with naked eye but my stool sample showed rbc. I also have occasionally irritation and discomfort while passing stool. Can you please tell me if anal fissure and having lax anal sphincter are connected problems? I’m changing my diet and lifestyle to treat the fissure, but what can I do to tighten my anal sphincter? I do suffer from mild forms of incontinence at times like passing leftover stool and gas unknowingly, usually after a bowel movement. Please advice.
