I have a dark spot on my back. I have it from an year. I do not know what it is. I have no associated pain or itching or burning sensation along with it. It's just like normal skin anywhere. What could it be?

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Dark spots on the skin, or hyperpigmentation, occur when some areas of the skin produce more melanin than usual. Melanin gives the eyes, skin, and hair their color. Dark spots on the skin are not a cause for concern and do not need treatment, though people may choose to remove them for cosmetic reasons. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
