I with my wife suffering from cold, cough from last 1. 5 month. We take 15 days treatment from ent doctor but there are no effect. My age 48 and wife 43 yrs. I also suffering with sugar, thyoride and wife with back pain .

For your wife rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency it may have to be further investigated.

Most of times cold is viral and doesn' t require any specific medication. Usually it disappears in 5. 7 days but times it persists for longtime. If you have already taken antibiotic course then do not take any medicine and try some home made remedies.
