My question is to a psychiatrist doctor. I am suffering from depression and anxiety and ocd. I am taking serta 100 and redone plus. It's been long time I have not visited my psychiatrist. Its been 4 year I am taking medicines. Now I feels quite good. Um I can say 65%.can anyone of psychiatrists tell ki kab patient ki medicine band hota hai? Means jab patient puri tarah think hone ke baad Dr. medicine band karta hai ya thoda ache feel hone ke baad band karta hai? Mujhe abhi symptoms hai but abhi mujhe patla hai unhe kaise handle karna hai so. I think jab mere symptoms puri tarah chole jayenge kabhi medicine band hogi kya?

One should not start and stop medicines on their will. please consult your treating doctor or any other doctor in person. He will clarify from you many health related issues regarding your physiological and psychological health by asking you many questions. Then he may taper down the doses if he is convinced to do so. Also I would suggest you to take some cognitive behaviour therapy sessions from a good psychologist who will help you to come out of your psychological problems from the root. You should reconsult your psychiatrist. As per guideline treatment duration is one year for 1 st episode & 5 year for 2 nd episode. Treatment is to be gong after remission for maintaince.
