Father-in-law was unable to pass motions for a week. In the meantime, his elder brother who he was very close to died and he starts behaving and talking in a disoriented manner. Upon consultation by a gastroenterologist, he starts taking medicines but is still unable to pass motions for 2 days. Gastroenterologist advises for enema. Next day after the procedure, he starts passing loose motions continuously, becomes weak, is unable to sit up and legs start shaking. He is admitted to icu where his brain ct scan, chest ct scan and rt-pcr are done. Covid test comes negative and his brain scan also does?t have any problems. Mild pneumonia is detected in lungs and medication is started. With oxygen support, his saturation is at 96, sometimes he can breath without support also. But it has been 5 days since hospitalization, he is still disoriented, talks in a way as if he has forgotten everything, loose motions have also started again and pneumonia is recurring. Pls advise.
