I am 49 yrs, male. I have third molar teeth at an angle and it is pushing the second molar teeth giving pain. X-ray showed both have cavity in them. Dentist advised to remove both. Is it OK. What are the possible side effects.

If possible try to save 2nd molar.

We should always first try to save the natural teeth rather than removing them and spending on more expensive replacements later. If the cavities are deep, then the only way to save them might be with RCT. If the wisdom tooth cannot be saved because it is angulated or can' t be reached, you can consider removing it but still try saving the next one because it is an important tooth for chewing. For further guidance, you can share your xray (radiograph) with us.

You can get third molar removed and go for the root canal of 2nd molar if your dentist agrees.

Consult again if it is possible must try to save 2nd Moalr by RCT and crown and last Molar should be removed without hitch. Chances are there that removing last molar will solve your probem and than get 2nd molar treated.

Yes it should be removed bcz 3rd molar is already angulated there is no further possibilities as it already damaged the adjacent tooth so better to go for extraction. If u would not do so thn further inflammtion will take place. Thank you DrJagrati
