Nasal polyps are a type of inflammatory tissue that can grow in the nasal cavity and sinuses.They occur more frequently in persons with allergies and/or asthma. Nasal obstruction and anosmia ( lack of smell sensation) is the most common symptom. Polyps are diagnosed based on symptoms and then nasal endoscopy is done to confirm and a CT scan may also be required.
