Hi lybrate-user. I will suggest you first take medicines .do not panic your doctor knows you well and knows better about medicines that is why he has given you .if you get any side effects you can imediately contact your doctor .but first take medicine. Do not over think that what if you get withdrawl symptoms. Thanks I hope this will help you stay healthy!

I couldn't understand why you are shifted to escitalopram and clonazepam/etizolam just for the purpose of tapering. Tapering could have been done with fluvoxamine and clonazepam only! though there are chances of withdrawal especially with abrupt tapering or stopping clonazepam or etizolam but in your case the dose of clonazepam or etizolam is already low to cause any significant withdrawal on stoppage. One more thing I couldn't understand, when touyare already shifted to escitalopram, why to stop escitalopram and clonazepam/etizolam simultaneously? You can continue escitalopram and stop etizolam first, so that you get a cover which protect you from re-emergence or relapse of panic symptoms. I hope you are consulting a psychiatrist only!

Dear Priya, It is nice that you and your doctor are managing to taper the drugs and stop. You will not get any withdrawal with this regime. Learn to relax and make all stresses as growth opportunities in this corona days.
