My daughter who is 9 years old, has a problem with her tooth. Her tooths are not falling off normally. It is removed only after going to a dentist. Now it is seen that several small new teeths have started appearing behind the old one's. Doctor says that surgery should be done. What should we do?

Sir surgery is usually done if she has developed a delayed eruption cyst. Please give appropriate details.Normally we take an OPG X-Ray to decide the eruption of the secondary teeth.Another issue is that the child is 9 yrs only. She has time till 14 yrs ( maximum time for eruption of all secondary teeth) and for the third molars aka wisdom tooth ( usually between 18-21 yrs of age).So there is still ample time(5yrs) for you to wait till eruption of permanent dentition.
