Hi, six months ago, I tried scuba diving (didn?t go all the way under) and came back with barotrauma for which I was prescribed prednisone for 3 days and some flonase. I also showed a professional ent and he checked my ears and said they looked ?perfect.? he said if they clear up in a few weeks, cancel the apportionment and don?t come back for a hearing test. So, a month later, I went and got a hearing test done at my medical center at work (where you listen to sounds and click buttons when you head the ?beep?). The medical assistant at the clinic said my hearing was ?beautiful?. However, when I try to pop my right ear open, it still remains closed and I still feel slight pressure (no pain like initially) when I try to pop it. Please help. Is this permanent hearing loss? I have tried valsalva maneuver many times and there is no popping. Please help.
