I'm a 26 year old female. My two chewing teeth in the lower jaw are broken from side view probably because I once chewed something hard in my childhood. There little and no pain sometimes. One dentisttold me root canal treatment is important before placing a crown on them. But only ceramic filling or crown placement without root canal isn't possible. I want to avoid root canal treatment as it involves piercing the teeth deep and i'm afraid of damage to my teeth. Please advise with what treatment I should proceed to avoid complications and tooth damage in future.

Though root canal can prevent the tooth from becoming infected or weakening further however teeth that have undergone root canal treatment are weaker than your other teeth, making them more inclined to crack. You may need to discuss it further over a call for a better and effective consultation. Thanks.
