Hello. I have poland's syndrome. Two of the doctors I recently visited are referring to my condition as pectus excavatum which I am pretty sure I don't have. Since after an x-ray examination, doctors concluded that I have a normal chest. I need to first ask whom do I refer for my problem. Also I am medically fit and don't have breathing problems. I have a medical coming up for a post of clerk in central government. According to their guidelines, they won't prefer the candidates having these four chest deformity namely, pectus excavatum, pigeon chest, harrison sulcus and barrel shaped chest. I have none of them but since two doctors who didn't even take a good look at me and my reports have termed my poland's syndrome as pectus excavatum so I am worried. Please also refer me to a doctor who specializes in the above disorders.
