Hello, im an airman who has trouble breathing when doing the 1.5 mile run. Last time I ran I passed out, so I had a chest ct scan and it turns out I have an azygos lobe. Is this the reason I am having such a hard time breathing when I run? Also would this justify a run waiver from my pcm?

Dear Mr. Matthew, Azygos Lobe Lung Syndrome, is a rare variation occurring in less than 1% of general population, with presenting complaints of Chest pain radiating to left arm, Breathlessness at exertion. It would be advisable for you to meet your Doctor and get a waiver from strenuous exercises. Wishing you Good health.
