I had problem of frequent and difficult urination. I got an u/s in feb-18 in which my prostate was 53gm and post void 17 cc. I was put on urimax-d .my problem reduced considerably. I again had an u/s in feb 2019 in which the prostate was 26 gms and post void 15 cc, my medication was changed to rapilif-8, gradually the problem started increasing I again had an ultra sound on 30aug 19 in which the prostate came to 43gms and post void 30 cc, with remark of moderately enlarged prostate with significant pvru. My kft and sugar levels are normal. I am also taking starpress xl 50 od olmat-20 bd and lonazep 1 mg od. I wanted to know whether to continue with rapilif-8 or go back to urimax-d.

Urimax d contains dutasteride (5 alfa reductase inhibitor) which prevents activation of testosterone in your body and hence results in shrinking of prostate, you can restart urimax d, in the long term the only side effect of urimax d is low libido (reduced sex drive)
