Suffering from bph at age 55 yr. Taking evening/night medicine & regular biyearly check up and normal urination at age 61 yr. Should I under go laser surgery or linger on with medicine. Medicine are dutas cap and silodal 4 mg daily at night. Ajit jain.

Mr. Lybrate-User, Have you been seen by a qualified urologist if yes, follow the advice. All bph don't require surgery. If you free from symptom then you can continue medicine as per advice of your urologist.

as long as you are benefitted with the medicine and there is no complications of kidneys or bladder at regular follow up. there's no need for surgery you can continue on medications
