My sister is 24 years old. Due to falling from train she got severe brain injury. We wasted near one and a half days for local treatment. When we became able to move her to a neuro speciality hospital, they had an immediate operation to save her life that was decompressive craniotomy. During this operation process a little portion of her left brain is removed, due to this she is unable to show any movements in right leg and arms, though she is in ventilation till now, this is the third day running with no sense and the gcs value 5 (before ot it was most probably 2). Now my question, is the paralysis permanent or can it be curable over a long time? Don't know till now what are the other complications are waiting for her until she get back into her senses. My another question, is the inactive state of the left brain is permanent? I have heard of people surviving very easily with only one half of a brain.
