Adeen is 5.5 years old and lives in dubai since jan 2019. For the last 4 weeks he has been suffering from persistent cough. He has had a course of azithromycin and is on another dose from today. He is severely allergic to dust and had a congested nose for quite sometime. Doctor put him on chlorohistamine and zyrtec with avemis nasal spray and that helped with the nasal congestion. On the 4th of june, there was profuse bleeding from his nose. Post that he was given the allergy meds and nebulising with saline water. Today again his nose started bleeding and his cough has become worse. For last 3 days he has been running temperature of 100-103. Please guide me what to do.

Hello, Take a chest x-ray and cbc count. You need full treatment consult a paediatrician. Child need continuous follow up so best is treatment in physical with a paediatrician. You can share the reports and discuss on line. Don't let the child put finger in nose. Too much nasal drops dries up nasal mucosa. Bleeding is because of that. Just put little drops of warm water in each nostril. Since he is allergic to dust avoid dusty environment. Give him a mask to wear till he recovers.
