I was diagnosed with pcod and doctor gave me dronis 30 and folic acid tablet, I have read from web that dronis30 is contraceptive pill we are trying to conceive then why this dronis30? I was also given metformin and follicles acid tablet. It was told to. Me on 3rd or 4th day of periods visit doctor and she give ovulation tablet. metformin I have read, it controls sugar is it dronis 30 causing blood sugar high and for controlling it metformin is given am worried if I start medication blood sugar level rises please help.

Hi. In pcos one of basic problem is there is resistance to action of insulin hormone in body. Insulin basically helps in utilisation of body sugar. So when there is resistance to insulin action body free sugar is in excess which is not good. Metformin helps in suagr utilisation. Dronis is for cycle control. Don't worry consult your fertility specialist after period for ovulation induction.
