My mother is behaving oddly from a past few months. She had rheumatoid arthritis from past 20 years, has had 3 joint replacements, 2 cataract surgeries and has thyroid. She doesn't get sleep from past 6 months, wakes up at 2-3 and sometimes even 11 pm and doesn't eat much. Lost about 15 kgs. She is 4" 11 and 35 kgs. Snaps at everyone. Even snaps at my father in front of guests, doesn't care about anyone. Doesn't even ask me if I have had food or how my studies are going, which was not the case before. And she spends lavishly on unnecessary things and asks my father for money everyday. I don't know what to do as she won't see a psychiatrist because she thinks nothing is wrong with her.
