Hi my wife is 6 month pregnant and having dry cough very much and she is taking ascoril d 12 augmentin 625 ecowell sompraz d 40 nezact nasal spray but there is no relief in cough her vitamin d3 is 8.7 please suggest.

Ascoril d and augmentin are quite effective for dry cough, an anti allergic may be added as dry cough are often an allergic manifestations. Also try betadine gargle with warm water 3 to 4 times daily. There is severe vit d deficiency and vit d at a dose of 60,000 units per week for 8 weeks and than monthly need to be supplemented.
