This a combination drug and for oral administration. Adults: 1-4 capsules daily. Children: the product is not suitable for use in children. Elderly: furosemide and spironolactone may both be excreted more slowly in the elderly. The capsules should be swallowed whole. They are best taken at breakfast and/or lunch with a generous amount of liquid (approx. 1 glass). An evening dose is not recommended, especially during initial treatment, because of the increased nocturnal output of urine to be expected in such cases.
