I am suffering from acidity & GERD problem from past 4 years and also diabetic from past 20 years. I am using glucored forte 850 for diabetic and esomeprazole20 for gerd from past 2 years. Can I use esomeprazole for longer period and any side effects.

Esomperazole is safe drug some documented side-effects are calcium and iron deficiency. Some studies show effect of kidney function with weaker evidence. In your case as there is long standing problem you should undergo an endoscopy for further evaluation.
