I was prescribed bactrim pills to treat my keloid infection and I was also prescribed an ointment to put on the keloid. When I initially began bactrim and the ointment treatment my ear and body became very itchy, but I dismissed it as my body adjusting to the medicine. When I woke up the next morning my keloid had swollen to the point it attached more to my ear. My face and eyes were swollen. My lips bare had any sensation unless I pinched them and I couldn?t taste my food. It was too hard to swallow so I didn?t eat. Eventually the infection went away, but then it came back so I used just the pills since the cream made my ear itch and swell so much. Thirty-forty minutes after that I began to itch and the whole process started again. I can barely swallow and my eyes are terribly itchy. Am I allergic to bactrim or should I seek medical treatment? I am sorry for the really long message.
