I want to know that I and my husband both of us have thalassemia. And I am pregnant. So, I want to know that is it necessary to do amniosthesis test for thalassemia or not. My age is 31 years and my husband age is 35. What is the cost of this test.

If both of you have thalasaemia minor there is 25 % chance of child getting thalasaemia major which is problematic disease to have. So better to rule out same and if child has option of termination of pregnancy is available.
