Hi doctor, I am suffering from pcod since 2014. My age is 27 yrs, and weight is 55 kg. My mother is diabetic. I took the treatment for the same twice but for few months my menses were regular but then again got disturbed and delayed. In 2017 again I completed the contraceptive medicine course along with metformin for 6 months. Later for next 6 month's it was regular. Now again every month it us delayed by 7 days. Recently I had usg, and doctor said ovaries are normal. But still my periods delays by 7-10 days. I am married since feb. 2018, not planning for baby. How to manage the health bodyweight? Also how to have better control on blood sugar. Recently I tested and avg. Blood sugar is 6.

Pcod is a syndrome, it should be dealth with by a multicentric approach. It combines, tabs, hormones, lifetsyle & dietary management. Even if you take medicines for 6 months, theres no guarantee of it getting compltely cured. Pcod has chances of recurrence anytime in life. Also, pcod is a big cause of infertility too, so it is advisable not to delay conception.
