My Age: 20 year Gender: Female Gynecology Problem Details: I had unprotected sex on 31st November, 2018. I then took a birth control pill 12 hrs-16 hrs later. Usually my period date is fixed to the very first week. However, I?ve missed my period over a week now. (today should?ve been my last day. I also took a home pregnancy test and it came out negative. What else could be the reason?

Delayed periods must be due to emergency contraceptive pill intake, wait for 7 days ,if you still do not get your periods then repeat urine pregnancy test, if negative then take medicine for withdrawal bleeding.

It's Because of the pill the date gets delayed you should avoid taking that as it weakens the uterus, on future you can suffer from conceiving issues. Have hot food like jaggery, chana.
