I was diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder a year ago and since then I basically have had no physical activity, so from last 3 days I started to change my life style and instead of using lift for my office I started using stairs and climb 12 floors, I have my garam watch on and it showed me that my heart rate went upto 157BPM but I have a very slow heart recovery rate, I mean after hour and a half my heart rate comes back to 80's in the mean time it stays in the range of 90-110. I am 26 year old male and a very heavy smoker. Before anxiety I was very active and used to spend almost 2 to 2.5 hours in gym daily.

It is better that you start slow and then increase any form of exercise. When you did not exercise earlier then start small and build it up. Start going for morning or evening walks or short jogs and runs, then slowly build up your stamina and endurance. Don't start climbing 12 floors from the word go.
