I am 18 years old and had unprotected sex. Can I take emergency contraceptive i-pill or unwanted 72. Is there any side effects of this tablet or is it safe to use this at the age of 18?

Yes, you can take it now. But continuous regular use is not recommended.

There is no fixed time in which one bleeds after taking ipill. Sometimes unexpected bleeding occurs more over it is not necessary. Next menstrual cycle can be early or delayed as side effects of the pill. Since i-pill is an authorized emergency contraception measure; therefore it has no long-term or fatal consequence. Nausea, breast tenderness, delayed menstruation, lower abdominal ache, headache, vomiting and irregular menstruation are some of the temporary side-effects of the I -pill.
