I am 67 years old, parkinson and dementia. I have mild short-term memory loss but mostly control it with peppermint tea. Some hallucinations but I understand the phenomenon and easily live with it. My family insist I take medication which I think too strong for my condition -doctor prescribed Donecet 5-10 mg. Even the 5 mg is giving me severe brain fog. I do not want to live feeling like zombie, I prefer natural medicine but my family insist on allopathic medicine. This creates much conflict.

Dear Johan, It is good that you have accepted your condition and ready to live with it. But your family may find it difficult to accept your memory loss. Living like a zombie and brain fog is due to parkinson and NOT a side effect of Donecept. Please talk to your family members about your walking, talking, remembering, constipation and other behaviour. No need to talk about treatment, allopathy or natural.
