I have been taking Soltus 300 these days. Experiencing tiredness. Not feeling active as I used to feel before. Since I am under medication since a very long time so decided to stop taking medicines from now on. My Dr. wanted to stop my medications 3-4 months back. But since we didn't wanted to take risk since schizophrenia might relapse so we didn't stopped taking at that time. I am under treatment since January 2017. Gained lot of weight in this period of 21 months around 14 kgs. Should I stop taking medicine or should I consult my Dr. before that.

Dear Aishwarya, You can stop taking medicines and let some family member know it. Let that member watch you for early warning signs of relapse. Restart the tablets before you become un co operative and consult the doctor. Discuss with the family whether this is the best time to stop medicines. Relapse may come after many weeks of stopping, not necessarily immediately. Start dieting and exercise to reduce your weight.
