HI, I am looking for treatment of my uncle paralysed in an accident, body Below waist do not work or feel, hand and finger are not work properly, using urine bag he's at this standstill position since 2005, he's alive just due to his old mother, his father is not living with him, they spent their whole property in his treatment but results are zero. Can you please help them or provide any other link who can help them for the shake of good. I can see his mother to serve his child at the age of 70 years. Please do something if you can. Dear lybrate-user, I am sorry to hear about your uncle. Based on the description, looks like he has a complete spinal cord injury. Although his paralysis may never improve I think his potential to improve his function (I.e. Doing things independently despite the paralysis) is certainly possible if the paralysis is only below his waist and his arms work well. To improve his function he needs training on how to do things independently. There is a rehabilitation hospital in Bagayam, Vellore in Tamil Nadu, where they treat individuals with disabilities.
