Hi, My brother is alcoholic for 8 years. He is taking Librium 25 (1 tab at night) & Liofen 5 (two tabs everyday) for one & half year according to his doctor is prescription. Along with this I'm giving him Go Tox & Quercus robur 1x three times par day for 3 months. But there is no sign of noticeable improvement. What else should I do? Any change of medicine?

Dear lybrate-user, Bubai is taking ineffective dose of Liofen. It needs to be increased to 50 - 60 mg per day for it to be effective. Please consult with your doctor and let him weigh its side effects. About Go tox and Quercus robur, I don't know anything.
