My father in law died of septicemia. He had history of recurrent urethral stricture dilatation. Last time when the procedure was undertaken, he had severe bronchitis and was on antibiotics. Can this situation lead to septicemia and further death? The treatment included Dopamine IV only and no antibiotics or steroids were given orally or through iv.

Sometimes urosepsis is very bad especially gram negative urosepsis in old patients. The condition can worsen and can lead to death also.
