My brother needs RCT and Crowning for the Bicuspid tooth (2-6). Since it's the back tooth, which crown would be better - PFM or zinconia? please share the reasons as well. Thanks.

Since zirconia is as stronger as PFM. And it has advantage of more aesthetics. I will recommend you to go for a layered zirconia crown. It will have amazing aesthetics and strength.

Zirconia is far better as it is very strong material. Sometimes ceramic layer of pfm chips off but not in zirconia. Also pfm leads to food lodgement more than zirconia.

Hi. Zirconia crowns are always better but are a little bit costlier than the PFM crowns.

For young as its bicuspid will b visible while talking n smiling. Zirconium is best colour matching n combination though pfm aLao gives good results both can last long cost wise zirconium takes the lead

Zirconia are metal-free crowns, they are the best option as they are bio-compatible, strongest crowns.

Depends on the type of bite you have .. actually .. zirconia is white inside .. and pfm is metal inside and outside its ceramic ..

2-6 is not bicuspid. It's a molar. Zirconia of full metal will be good.

2-6 is not bicuspid it is molar teeth, zinconia is stronger material, better aesthetic but coz its 2-6 that is molar area toh you can either go for PFM as back tooth are usually not visible while taking n it will come in your budget too. Zirconia is mainly preferred in anterior (incisor) tooth for aesthetic n all purpose. But if you can afford you can go with zirconia but still PFM is always the best choice. U know old is gold. Take care. If you need any further help can ask me.
