First of all IgG means antibody has developed. Literally means you have past infection or even if you have taken vaccine it shows IgG positive. IgM means active infection. Means you have that infection at your sample collection time. IgG doesn't always need treatment but if doctor rules out other factors than prophylactic treatment may be helpful.
