Hello, I have problem found as hepatitis c in my medical test (based on Oman country report). I want to be cured at Max cure hospital for medical test again. Doctor Reports: doctor written test 1) LFT, 2) HCV-RNA Qualitative PCR, 3) HCV-Genotyping, 4)Hepatitis c virus RNA PCR Quantitative. Report Got: 1,2,3. Pending Report: 4. Doctor mediation: VelaSoaf. Please suggest me what I have to do and what treatment should I go for? How much time will it take tol get positive-to-negative report?

The investigations and treatment look OK to me. It takes 12 weeks for your disease to be under control. But I want you to understand that the test they do as a part of medical screening is a Hepatitis C antibody test and this test may not become negative at all even if you are cured of the disease. Based on your Hepatitis C viral load after 12/24 weeks, we will have to give you a special clearance stating that your disease is cured and you will not transmit the disease to anybody else.
