I am 60 yrs old taking tamsulosin dusteride since 3 months. Is any effect of this drug in hair growth on head (baldness)

1 Doctor Answered
Hello, tasulosin dusteride is a 5 alpha-reductase inhibitor and alpha-blocker combination. The 5 alpha-reductase inhibitor (dutasteride) works by lowering levels of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (dht) which is responsible for hairloss. So, intake of this medication would rather help you in retaining your existing and dormant hair as well! so, be happy!
