My grand daughter is 5 years old and she had joined swimming course for 20 days. After completing this 20 days we have noted there are 2 round white spots on her face approximately 7 mm and 4 mm. Her Nana (grandfather) is having leukoderma and is full white (whole body) We are worried about this. We want to know whether this could be genetic. Hello, The dermatologist has started you on treatment for vitiligo there are chances of genetic connection but the severity cannot be predicted. Most pediatric vitiligo are segmental or small patches and tend to be non progressive. Followup with your dermatologist.
