I have already operated my jaw cancer on 26th April of last month with fibula flap from chest muscles. Still I am taking liquid and soft food. From last four days I am feeling there is something stuck in my throat and my stool are not clear and my stool are something black or deep brown like tar like and have streak of blood. There is some pain when stool passes. Please suggest me why I feel like this. Is this any serious issue or related with my recent surgery and treatment. Please help me.

Fibula flap is from the leg as bone is removed not chest. If chest wall flap, it's usually a Pectoralis major muscle and skin flap. If you have had a fibula, there is no jaw shift and hence you would be able to eat from Opposite side where teeth are present. If it was a pectoralis flap, you need a guide bite prosthesis on Opposite teeth to get alignment of the jaw to be able to chew. Something stuck in throat is not a good sign. It is called as dysphagia and could be due to esophageal cancer. Also the dark tarry stools are suggestive of upper GI bleed, which could be due to cancer of Esophagus or any other bleeding. Better to show it to your surgeon who operated upon you. He would do an endoscopy to ding the cause. If you want to share your reports or discuss this further, feel free to contact me directly.
