I am monirul islam. I am 22 year old. I have undergone a liver function test recently and my SGPT level came to 83 which is above the normal level. I wish to know is this really a matter of concern for me and do I need to start any medication for the same. Also whether it is due to my obesity or the reason can be something different?

SGPT is a liver enzyme which can be elevated due to so many causes. People with fatty liver can also have high SGPT. Taking some medicines or some herbal preparations can also cause this. Sometimes this elevation may not be significant. As long as you r healthy, you don't have to worry, as this may not be significant.
