25 year old female. My mother has thyroid since 15 years or so (controlled). Lately I have been taking a lot of stress and my periods have become irregular and there is spotting in between periods as well. What can I do to keep my TSH normal and avoid the disease? What should be my food intake and weight levels and what symptoms should I be careful of? Thank you in advance.

Nothing special you can do to avoid getting thyroid problem except iodine in food, which practically all get except in some rural areas. Should get your TSH checked every year
