My father aged 65 is suffering from L5 lumbar spondylosis pain. The doctor we consulted only gave a belt to wear. Although he has been wearing the belt for about a month there is no improvement. We also have to be cautious of using painkillers and exercise as he has hypertension as well as only one functioning kidney. Please advice.

Hello If there is no response to conservative treatment, we need to evaluate your father with a detail clinical evaluation. I agree that use of pain killers may be risky in case of having a single functioning kidney. Don't worry, we can take care of your father's spine problem.
