I am in a relationship with a girl aged 26. She has acute borderline personality problem. She is from a separate family, she lived with her mother and her mother left her and her mother is missing from last 2 months. Now she is living with her father and elder brother. They are not affectionate to her. She has stated treatment from 1 week. Our marriage date is 19th nov, 2018. Doctor is diplomatic in this case. I am exhausted. What should I do?

Dear Friend, Thanks for the question. Borderline Personality Disorder is a mental disorder characterised by unstable moods, behaviour and relationships. The cause of borderline personality disorder isn't well understood. Diagnosis is made based on symptoms. Symptoms include emotional instability, feelings of worthlessness, insecurity, impulsivity and impaired social relationships. Treatments include talk therapy or, in some cases, medication. Hospitalisation helps if symptoms are severe.
