Hi doctor I have done tympanoplasty surgery past 6 weeks ago. But till I can not hear from that ear & my ear is popping nd ringing. Please tell me when I hear properly and I want to ask that I am travelling in airplane. During travel can I put cotton boll inside my ear tightly and what precaution should I take during travel and my doctor told every thing is perfect in ear do not put any ear drop stopped everything .please tell me as soon as possible. It is not possible for us to suggest when will you start hearing. You should ask it to your ENT specialist. Yes you can use cotton plug during air travel.

Presurgical and post surgical audiometry (a test to know the hearing capacity and type of hearing loss) is a must .If it's not recommended by doctor ,then you should go by your own and get your audiometry done rather than asking when I will hear properly. Towards yo 2nd que I would like to suggest you to keep some chewing gum and chew it through out your journey and kepp talking with your side by passenger so as to reduce the pain sensation. Putting cotton has a very little effect but you can do that along with this. Try this one and revert me back is it helpful for you or not?
