I had to abort my pregnancy in 5 the month due to fetal abnormality. The baby was detected with Pierre Robin syndrome. The genetic testing of the baby was done. The reports cleared no genetic abnormality and says that it's was sporadic. The risk in next pregnancy is mentioned as low. Right now I am in school as my husband is posted here. Please guide for my next pregnancy.

Yes, the risk of recurrence of the condition in sporadic cases with normal chromosomes should be Low. You should take 5 mg folic acid Everyday from the time you are trying to conceive till 14 weeks. Apart from the routine trisomy scanning at 11 to 13 weeks to looks for Down's syndrome, a detailed scan of the baby should be done between 18-20 weeks preferably by a fetal medicine expert to make sure that the baby does not have any obvious abnormalities.
