I am 16 weeks pregnant woman. In my TSH test I seen its amount is high. It is 7.35. Is it risky for my baby?

hi yes you are having hypothyroidism. you need to start medicine for thyroid and low thyroid level can cause impaired cognitive development of the baby .

You need to also get a free T3 and T4 test done to check the levels of thyroid hormones. TSH level should not be more than 3 at this stage. You need to be started on thyroxine (thyroid replacement). Thyroid hormone is important for the baby growth and brain development. With replacement the thyroid hormones should get back to normal.
