Anal pain and itching I have been suffering from anal pain and anal itching for 3 years. Even my stool is not good. Sometimes it is constipated and sometimes it becomes loose, My doctor (surgeon) after viewing the place reported it is due to fissures? I just want to know whether he is correct or not? Is colonoscopy required?

You may be having fissure but altered bowel habit is not due to fissure, so you may need colonoscopy, and detailed examination by gastrointestinal doctor.
