One year ago, LIS surgery was done and I show the discharge summary relating to the surgery to a gastroenterologist in cmc vellore. Due to digestive problem for long time I went to the doctor. Then after doing no of tests doctor diagnosed 1 - functional bowel disease 2- Fissures in ano. Now my question is I have no problem of anal fissure now still why doctor diagnosed fissure in ano? It means once a disease occur then the disease will be going for lifetime period, by treatment disease not cure.

Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned you have already done LIS surgery so your internal muscle is not tight so there is no chance of fissure at all.So in my guessing, it is a wrong diagnosis so I request you to let me know your clinical history in detail to guide you further. Hope that helps
