Hi lybrate-user .shin splint is very common in runners ,you can done ice massage for 4 times a day 10-10 in ,calf stretching exercise relax your muscles around shine bone .take otc medicine like ibuprofen once a day also for some days.
Firstly get an xray of leg done to properly diagnose your problem. Take rest. Avoid running. Wear propet shoes. If pain is severe than take over the conter anti-inflammatory drugs.
