Hello Doctor, I am a undergraduate student, My age is 21, When ever I have final exams / Semester exams, I tend to have excessive mood swings, anxiety, fear right from the notification release, as a result I was unable to focus / concentrate absolutely, My mind is not willing to touch the books during exams, Even for some exams I gave empty answer script, Despite of knowing the answers, I tired meditation, Deep breathing, yoga,Tried positive self talk During those days, But there is no change in my mind state (practically didn't worked), This happens only during exams, I read and heard some where that using stimulants occasionally during hectic events is not much harmful, when the symptoms are not tolerable, Now I am planning to use stimulants such as ritalin by consulting the Doctor (psychiatrist) only for around 7-10 days during exams, Is it safe to stimulants like Ritalin occasionally? I will be very careful& limited in using them, Please provide your opinion, THanking you.
